A gas fired infrared heating system emulates the efficiency of the sun by generating radiant energy that is converted into heat when absorbed by objects in its path. Once the infrared energy is absorbed by the floors, machinery, stock and people, it is then re-radiated to warm the surrounding air. This method of heating, as opposed to filling a room with warm air (such as a forced air unit) allows the source of heat to begin at the floor level and not the ceiling. The post is available in a glass black powder-coat finish or 304 stainless steel. The PSA265 heater is available with a variety of control systems. The manual ignition heater requires no electrical connection and is the easiest to service and maintain. The heater utilizes a pilot-thermocouple 100 percent safety shutoff. The pilot for this heater must be manually lit. The unit is turned off/on with a manual control knob conveniently located on the front.The Non-"E" Series heater requires electrical 24 VAC to be connected in order to operate the main burner. This heater utilizes a pilot-thermocouple with 100 percent safety shutoff and the pilot must be manually lit via the direct spark system. The unit is then turned on/off with an electrical switch, timer, or other control device by interrupting the 24 VAC supply. The control device for this unit must be supplied by the installer. Manual control knob must be set to the ON position for this heater to operate with an electrical switch. This unit requires an external 24 VAC source.The "E" Series heater requires 24 VAC electrical to be connected in order to operate.
